About a week ago, I did something so completely unlike me that I surprised myself:  I took Eddie's clippers to my head and shaved down the sides with the #2 blade (well, actually, he did it for me because I wouldn't have been able to see most of it myself).  I love the way it turned out, which is surprising to me because I've lived in near-terror of having short hair for the last, oh, 25 years.
